Thank you for checking us out! My name is Tim and my wife, Amanda and I are excited to make this site available. My dad, Barry, is fighting Thyroid cancer that has spread throughout his body making him very weak and unable to work. Although he is constantly very tired from the cancer and the treatments, we believe wholeheartedly that God will heal him. We believe God has plans for my dad and that now is not his time to go home.
A few months ago my wife suggested that we set something up so people would know about my dad's condition and be able to donate to he and my mom. The hope is to help them stay in their home and also pursue future treatments for my dad. Since he can no longer work, this sounded like a great idea. We started by setting up a special interest group on facebook and ended up with over 200 members!!!
We now have a way for people to donate and the money will go directly to my parent's PayPal account for them to access immediately!

My dad passed away this morning. Amanda and I are going toogo up together once we square away our affairs here is Texas.

I'mtravelling to Minnesota next Saturday to be with my family. My dad is in hospice care there and all medical indicators are that he will not make it. I still am believing that God will heal him. He is down but not out because with Jesus, there is ALWAYS hope. Please continue to pray for his healing and for my mom to get some rest during all of this.

Dad's home but he is going into hospice care on Monday.
Today, my mom called around 1:30 PM to tell me that my dad couldn't feel his legs. They are numb from a tumor pressing on his nerves. He has been in bed all day because he can't walk. He is in terrible pain in his hip and really needs everyone's prayers.

Amanda and I are going to go up to Minnesota to see him in the next two weeks. Please pray that we have safe trip and that my dad will be well enough to enjoy our visit.
8/7/2009 - Dad's in the hospital
On Thursday, my dad woke up in extreme pain after a week of being in bed from pain and exhaustion. He told my mom that somebody needed to do something right then.
My mom took him to the hospital immediately where they admitted him. He has also lost his appetite due to the medicine and now weighs 143 lbs.! That's about 35 lbs. underweight.
He will stay there until they can help him gain some weight. The plan is to get him well enough to travel upstate to the Mayo clinic in Rochester, MN. where they will see if he is a candidate for an experimental tratment.
Please continue praying for my dad and mom. Pray that he will be well enough to travel soon. Please also pray for my mom to continue to be strong through all of this.
